About this Role: This manager role will drive our Product development and engineering excellence and design choices. Successful candidates will be high-bandwidth leaders who can cut through the noise, simplify relentlessly, deliver results, and build great teams around themselves. You will be accountable for the management of developers and driving the engineering principles for the entire product life cycle. Based on interaction with the CEO, Product Heads, head of architecture and other key stakeholders, you will help shape and define our technology roadmap. Will ensure that the resources within your team effectively work towards this plan and drive the platform definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. Key responsibilities: Prior experience heading up a development and engineering department and adept at hiring and building a top-notch team. Excellent understanding of and experience developing cloud-native applications and microservices, IaaS, PaaS and Cloud. technologies, emerging technologies, solution architecture, and the ability to drive technology innovations. The role will provide research and insights of the blockchain developments in the market and be a mentor to the team on blockchain projects and technologies to create a world-class finance system that supports W Chain global footprint. The incumbent must be willing to insist on the highest standards for quality, maintainability, and performance. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the engineering best practices are followed, and that software is designed to be dynamically scalable, and resilient to threats. The role will be accountable for driving the entire product life cycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. DevOps experience – Core understanding of and experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), including exposure to world class system and application monitoring Shape team towards our business strategy and model; awareness and understanding of the firm's business strategy and model appropriate to the role Strong management, leadership, problem solving, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills Key Technical Skills: A total of 10+ years of experience, in which 5 years should be in blockchain technologies. 3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience – blockchain. 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in payments and financial markets. Passionate about the DeFi / NFT space Experience with architecture best practices, object-oriented design and languages. Experience engineering systems on hyperscale cloud platforms a strong plus. Experience in payments and Financial Systems. A strong desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Experience prioritizing demands, scoping large efforts, and negotiating timelines are necessary skills. Knowledge of cryptography and blockchain protocols. Should understand Crypto Mining and PoW and PoS. In-depth knowledge of the best practices in blockchain management and data protection. Should be able to create blockchain networks and implement the block chain Datacenter Well understanding of the Blockchain technologies, especially Ethereum, TRON, Hyperledger, Corda Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures / technologies and emerging technologies, security measures to protect against cyber-attacks Solid understanding of design and development methods and processes Technologies we use in our stack: Cloud based stack and multiple products within it including serverless features Cache: Redis External Services: Twilio, Algorand JS Libraries: React-Query CSS Libraries: ant-d, Bootstrap Database: Postgre SQL DB Migration: Flyway dB Deployment: GitHub, Circle CI, AWS Terraform IDE: IntelliJ, VS Code Kotlin (API) React JS, with Type Script, Cloud SQL, Swagger, Redis, Circle CI Twilio, SEON, Firebase, Cognito Blockchain Technologies: Ethereum ERC-20 and ERC-751 & Hyperledger-Fabric, TRON, Basic Network Configurations and NFT Marketplace, Multichain,BigchainDb Blockchain Tools: Remix IDE, Ganache MUST HAVE SKILLS: 5 years of relevant software engineering experience – blockchain 5 years of relevant industry experience in payments, financial markets. Experience with architecture, best practices, object-oriented design and languages Experience engineering systems on hyperscale cloud platforms a strong plus Experience in payments and Financial Systems A strong desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Experience prioritizing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences Behavioral & Soft Skills: Strong communication and writing skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Knowledge of community management on Web3 platforms and social channels. Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making. High level of organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to problem solve effectively Education Qualification: MS in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent experience) A real plus is understanding of security and networking for cloud Location: Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai- (Remote)
