As a member of the R&D Staff at ZRC BIOTECH, you will play a crucial role in protein characterization, upstream process operations, downstream processing, in-process analysis, stability group, formulations group, molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, upstream analytics, and PK/PD/Immunogenicity activities. Below are the key responsibilities and qualifications required for each role: **Protein Characterization - Analytical:** - Must hold an M.Sc. / M. Tech. in Biochemistry or Biotechnology with at least 5 years of industrial hands-on experience in protein characterization. - Sound knowledge in analytical method development, validation, technology transfer activity, and scientific report writing skills is essential. **Upstream Process (1-3 years experience):** - Requires an M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or M. Tech. with Biotechnology. - Hands-on experience in handling mammalian cell culture process and microbial fermentation is necessary. - Capable of performing activities such as handling cell lines, cell bank preparation, media scouting, and process optimization at various scales. **Upstream Process (more than 10 years experience):** - Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or M. Tech. in Biotechnology with extensive experience. - Proficiency in upstream process development and process characterization of mammalian and microbial culture is a must. - Should have a proven track record of leading a sizeable team. **Downstream Processing and Antibody Drug Conjugate (2-8 years experience):** - Requires a Ph.D. / M.Sc. / M. Tech. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences. - Hands-on experience in protein purification techniques and handling various equipment is essential. - Capable of performing resin screening and process optimization for Mab and ADC at different scales. **Downstream Process (more than 10 years experience):** - Ph.D. / M. Tech. / M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or Biochemical Engineering with extensive experience. - Proficiency in downstream process development for mammalian and microbial processes is necessary. - Should have a proven track record of leading a sizeable team. **In-process Analysis and Stability Group (3-10 years experience):** - Requires a Ph.D., M.Sc., M. Tech, M. Pharm in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or equivalent. - Hands-on experience in various analytical techniques for biosimilar or novel biological products is essential. - Responsible for the development and qualification of analytical methods, in-process analysis, degradation/stability studies, and report writing. **Formulations Group (3-5 years experience):** - Ph.D., M.Sc., M. Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or M. Pharm Biotechnology/Pharmaceutics. - Responsible for planning and execution of formulation development, stability/degradation studies, and technology transfer. - Hands-on experience in liquid and lyophilized formulation development is required. **Molecular Biology (3-4 years experience):** - Must hold an M.Sc. in any field of life sciences or Ph.D. in life sciences with hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques. - Proficiency in techniques like PCR, Real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, etc., is necessary. - Experience in cell and gene therapy development activities is a plus. **Mammalian Cell Culture (Freshers or 3-5 years experience):** - Requires an M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Pharm with Biotechnology. - Experience in mammalian cell culture, clone screening, media/process optimization, and cell bank preparations is essential. - Basic understanding of DoE tools for media optimizations is preferred. **Upstream Analytics (Freshers or 2-4 years experience):** - Requires an M.Sc./M. Tech./M. Pharm with Biotechnology. - Experience in protein binding studies using SPR and purification of therapeutic proteins is necessary. - Proficiency in protein characterization techniques is required. **PK/PD/Immunogenicity (Freshers or 3-7 years experience):** - Must hold an M.Sc./M. Pharm in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or related field. - Experience in PK/PD/Immunogenicity assays and animal handling is essential. - Scientific understanding of biologics in animals & humans and knowledge of biostatistics is required.
