Biomedical Scientist

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting routine and specialist analytical testing on samples such as blood, tissue, and bodily fluids. You will interpret test results to provide essential information to medical staff for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your role will also involve managing and running specialist lab equipment, ordering supplies, and ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. Additionally, accurately recording data, writing detailed reports, and effectively communicating results to relevant staff will be part of your responsibilities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing tests: Conduct routine and specialist analytical testing on samples like blood, tissue, and bodily fluids. - Analyzing results: Interpret test results to provide information to medical staff for diagnosis and treatment planning. - Maintaining lab operations: Managing and running specialist lab equipment, ordering supplies, and ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. - Reporting findings: Accurately recording data, writing detailed reports, and communicating results to relevant staff. - Developing new methods: Researching and developing new diagnostic methods and techniques to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the lab. - Ensuring quality: Supporting the lab's quality management system and observing all health and safety regulations. In addition to the above responsibilities, you are expected to possess the following qualifications: - Attention to detail - Analytical skills - Problem-solving skills - Teamwork skills - Strong knowledge of laboratory tools and techniques - Ability to work independently Please note that this is a Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fresher position with an expected workload of 48 hours per week.
