Computational Biologist

genomics data analysis, drug repurposing, biomarker identification, patient stratification, disease modelling, and data integration

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Bioengineering, or related field
23 years of industrial experience
Proven expertise in
scRNA-Seq and other NGS data analysis
Strong understanding of computational biology data management (NGS, Transcriptomics, Microarray, Proteomics, Clinical trials, Text mining)
Proficiency in
R, Python, shell scripting
Experience with
Docker and Nextflow
Familiarity with
machine learning
is a plus
Experience with
Linux/cloud computing (AWS/GCP)
Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
Experience with
GitHub/version control systems
Ability to generate
in-silico experimental workflows
and utilize biological databases/tools
Strong scientific communication skills and ability to generate hypotheses

Roles & Responsibilities:

Collaborate with diverse customers and partners in drug discovery and development
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of PhD-level scientists
Manage day-to-day operations of Omics (NGS) projects
Stay updated with scientific and technical advancements
Present results and hypotheses to internal and external stakeholders
Write research papers, reports, reviews, and summaries
Demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and project planning skills
