Sr. Makeup Artist Job Duties As a Sr. Makeup Artist, you are expected to: Perform a variety of makeup application like Bridal Makeup, Engagement Makeup, Party Makeup, etc. Have proficiency in various makeup application techniques like foundation application, contouring, blending eyeshadows, eyeliner application, and lipstick application Have understanding of color theory is essential for choosing the right colors for different skin tones and creating harmonious looks Perform various hairstyling to complement makeup looks Have strong portfolio showcasing a variety of makeup styles and techniques is crucial for demonstrating your skills and attracting clients Perform skincare services like facial, threadwork Have a good understanding of different skin types, tones, and textures, as well as knowledge of appropriate skincare products and their application. Assess clients' skin and hair conditions and recommend suitable treatments and products Keep up to date with the latest beauty trends and techniques to provide innovative services Be updated on the latest makeup products, brands, and tools is essential. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the salon, including sanitizing tools and equipment Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service and personalized recommendations Keep accurate records of client appointments, treatments, and product inventory Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge Provide trainings to new students and other jr. makeup artist Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines Handle client inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively Sr. Makeup Artist Requirements Training from a reputed school. At least 3-5 years’ experience as a makeup artist Excellent interpersonal skills. Good verbal/written communication.
