BIM Technician

As a CAD Drafting and BIM Modeling Specialist, you will be responsible for various key tasks to support the infrastructure design and coordination process. Your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Read and build Civil 3D surfaces efficiently. - Import and export GIS shapefiles in Civil 3D to facilitate project requirements. - Prepare detailed subsurface drainage layouts and longitudinal profiles using Autodesk Civil 3D software. - Assign elevations from Civil 3D to manholes and create profiles for accurate design representation. In addition to CAD drafting, you will also be involved in BIM modeling and coordination tasks: - Develop comprehensive 3D models for storm and subsurface gravity-based networks. - Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to ensure seamless coordination with other utility systems and disciplines. - Model the network shapefile in BIM to enhance project visualization and coordination. - Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud ACC will be beneficial for project collaboration. - Support the preparation of coordinated BIM deliverables and clash-free design packages for effective project delivery. Qualifications required for this role include: - Experience in drafting and modeling storm networks to meet project requirements. - Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Navisworks to support design and coordination tasks effectively. - Familiarity with utility corridor planning, multi-disciplinary coordination, and clash resolution workflows to ensure project success. - Understanding of stormwater planning and drawings production workflow for efficient project delivery.
