BIM Technician - Mechanical

You will be responsible for preparing MEP 3D BIM coordinated models, conducting clash detection and resolution, creating Parametric BIM Families, and providing specialist support to design teams. Additionally, you will support design and bid teams with the creation of 3D visualizations and 4D models/visualizations, as well as preparing quantities for use in BoQs from the 3D model. Qualifications required for this role include good English communication skills, the ability to work closely with colleagues at a senior level, computer literacy, possession of a valid passport, and readiness for secondment to the UK for up to 3 months. You should have a good working knowledge of Windows environments, word processing, spreadsheets, email, web-enabled applications, and database software. Furthermore, you should be able to plan and manage your workload effectively, demonstrate lateral thinking, understand your own limitations and those of the software being used. A Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, along with Draughting qualifications, and at least 5 years of production experience in design, drafting, and engineering with a significant background in a similar role or a proven track record. Key Competencies / Skills required for this role: - Experience in BIM MEP, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), and Navisworks is essential. - Desirable skills include experience in Autodesk 3ds MAX, MS Excel, and MS Word.
