BIM Modeller Electrical

As an individual contributor, you'll utilize prior theoretical learning or knowledge of methods and technologies to execute work assignments using established solutions. The position provides design for engineering disciplines across multiple engineering projects within the OPC. Your goal is to complete assignments on major projects cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards. The highest quality standards will be applied, and safety requirements will be taken into consideration.

What You Will Do

• Independently work on AutoCAD/MicroStation platforms for 2D & 3D design and detail engineering of substation projects.
• Independently work on BIM/Revit platforms for 2D & 3D design and detail engineering of substations.
• Knowledge of BIM Process (PAS 1192) is an added advantage.
• Develop tender engineering drawings quickly and with quality.
• Ensure the completeness of assigned packages and the correct function of the resulting substation system.
• Confirm that engineering is developed considering complete information, and all inter-discipline checks have been conducted, with results documented in the project-specific storage area.
• Solve CAD issues that arise during engineering development.
• Report and maintain records for all engineering changes.
• Cooperate with the engineering team to agree on project-specific impacts caused by changes.
• Ensure compliance with Linxon and Client engineering guidelines, standards, and quality across the complete engineering process, adhering to organizational QMS.
• Create work plans and cost estimates in your area of responsibility.
• Contribute to an up-to-date design issue log.
• Safety: Understand and follow Linxon OHS procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in CAD design and BIM Model reviews.
• Provide input for close-out reports and lessons learned, and follow/review lessons learned for subsequent projects.

Experience, Education, and Other Requirements

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Power Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in CAD/BIM design.
• Must have executed project engineering on the Revit platform.
• Any site experience would be beneficial.
• Good knowledge of AIS & GIS Substation design.
• Hands-on experience in preparing substation deliverables such as Overall Equipment Layout/Section, Earthing Layout, Cable Tray, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Trench, etc.
• Proficiency with Revit tool (hands-on experience).
• High attention to detail and quality.
