Job Summary:

BIM Engineer – MEPF

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and manage

  coordinated LOD 300–400 BIM models

  for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems.
• Ensure effective

  MEP coordination

  between

  Architecture, Structure, Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC, and Electrical

  services.
• Apply and follow

  BIM standards

  , including model element information requirements, classification systems, workflows, and clash detection protocols.
• Conduct

  clash detection

  using

  Navisworks Manage

  , resolve conflicts, and maintain accurate coordination models.
• Participate in and support

  coordination meetings

  with other disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Create and manage

  MEPF shop drawings, sleeve drawings, spool drawings

  , and

  as-built documentation

  .
• Extract

  BOQs

  , material quantities, and relevant project data from the BIM model.
• Follow structured

  BIM workflows and procedures

  to ensure consistency and compliance with the project’s BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Collaborate with the BIM Manager on

  model audits, QA/QC checks

  , and client presentations.

System-Specific Knowledge Required:

Plumbing:

• Water supply and drainage system modeling
  
• Fixture connectivity, pipe sizing, slope management
  

Firefighting:

• Sprinkler layouts, fire riser systems
  
• Fire conduit routing and coordination with ceilings and other services
  

HVAC:

• Ducting layout and sizing
  
• Air conditioning (VRF/VRV), ventilation, return/exhaust systems
  

Electrical (Basic):

• Lighting fixture placement and standards
  
• Cable tray routing
  
• Power socket and modular point layout coordination
  

Technical Skills:

Candidates must be proficient in the following tools and software:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma

  in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant field)

• 4–5 years

  of hands-on experience in

  BIM modeling and coordination for MEPF systems

• Deep understanding of

  MEPF systems

  , spatial planning, and construction coordination
• Familiarity with

  BIM standards

  , naming conventions, information-level management
• Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination skills
  

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to large-scale commercial/residential/infrastructure projects
  
• Familiarity with BIM documentation like

  BEPs, COBie, ISO 19650

  , etc.
