Job Summary:

BIM MEP Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop,manage, and update

  BIM models

  for MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical,Piping, Fire Protection) in Revit and other BIM platforms.
• Coordinate MEP designs with architectural and structural models to resolve spatial and system clashes using

  Navisworks Manage

  or similar tools.
• Produce

  detailed 2D drawings, shop drawings, and construction documents

  extracted from BIM models.
• Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific LOD (Level of Detail/Development) requirements.
• Support the implementation of BIM workflows and best practices across the MEP team.
• Perform

  clash detection

  , identify and communicate coordination issues, and follow through on resolution.
• Work closely with design engineers, consultants, contractors, and BIM coordinators.
• Maintain version control, model integrity, and documentation of model changes.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, quantities, and support cost estimation when required.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to project planning and reviews.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and BIM software developments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of

  5-10 years' experience

  in a BIM MEP engineering role (or adjusted based on level).
• Proficient in

  Autodesk Revit MEP

  , AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 (or similar platforms).
• Familiar with international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, etc.).
• Solid understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
• Experience in

  clash detection

  ,

  coordination

  , and

  model management

  .
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Autodesk Revit or BIM Management - added advantage
• Experience with Dynamo or other visual scripting tools is a plus. - added advantage
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and other BIM standards.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment or on large-scale projects.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based.
• May require travel depending on project location.
