BIM Engineer - Mechanical

Role Overview: As a Piping Engineer at Jacobs, you will be proficient in Piping Modeling and Piping Layout, specifically in Revit and Plant3D Software. You will play a crucial role in providing BIM execution oversight, model management, and model QC support. Your expertise in Process Industry Piping codes and standards will ensure the implementation of good practices. Your responsibilities will include routing pipes, designing pipe rack arrangements, vessel piping, and preparing detailed drawings with minimal input from Engineering's. Your strong understanding of pipe and fitting materials will be essential in developing a constructible and cost-effective 3D model. Key Responsibilities: - Work within a multidisciplinary project team, taking instructions from team members but also capable of working independently. - Apply Safety in Design principles effectively while designing drawings according to markups and specifications. - Translate hand drawings and sketches into BIM systems, evaluate and interpret designs, and implement work methodologies. - Document and update all drawings in adherence to the company's quality-assured delivery processes. Qualifications Required: - Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed university/institute. - Experience in Piping Engineering, particularly in design and layout in process industries. - Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
