Description
Key Responsibilities - Production of BIM models and generate shop drawings, schedules, documents required to support construction team from BIM Vendors/In house team. Contribute to the strategy development of Voltas Design Technology capability, by developing standards, researching and developing new techniques and directly assisting key projects from time to time Identify and notify potential discrepancies in BIM Models. Support Coordinator/Manager by providing information for site queries & resolving issue. To provide procurement details of supplies needed. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve project delivery outcomes through the application of appropriate design technology related techniques and strategies, and assist design / project to resolve technical issues Ensure project BIM Execution plans adherence and success. Maintenance of BIM Software licensing and costing Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement Assist projects team in BIM project setup Lead BIM Coordination meetings: Spatial coordination of disciplines. Gathering all disciplines BIM Models including civil & performing coordination tasks Quality project delivery, including participation in location industry events and technical forums. Coordination with professional staff on reviewing models and comments via Design Review Implementation Electronic document control management system. Model Management and administration ensuring a healthy BIM database Test new hires skills in BIM Supervise the process of virtually constructing a building by production (Modelling and documentation) Ensure proper MEP clashes free coordination done in MEP BIM model and issue of coordinated MEP services layout shop drawing to construction team, for clashes free site installation. Key Skills - Knowledge of construction nomenclature and techniques (means and methods) General understanding of various building types Good communication and training skills (verbal and written) Strong teaching and coaching skills to bring new team members up to speed Ability to communicate the benefits of BIM, both for internal and external purposes Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance Good team building and motivation skills In-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet setup Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals Possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others Working knowledge of work processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web enabled applications, and database software Self-starter and possess the drivee to pursue continued education on BIM Possess the ability to work well as part of team and independently. Experience & Education - 12-15 years of experience as MEP and BIM drawing coordinator. Graduate in Engineering or Diploma (Full time) Must be proficient with BIM Softwares (Revit 2021, Naviswork 2021 or later version mandatory), BIM add-ins Must be proficient of BIM Standards like BS 1192, ISO, BIM Forum etc., Knowledge in Architectural/ Structural / MEP services an advantage.
