You are being offered the opportunity to join NCR VOYIX Corporation, a global provider of digital commerce solutions for the retail, restaurant, and banking industries. Your role will involve developing and maintaining POS and backend applications in the Retail sector, ensuring timely delivery with a focus on quality. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-quality software that meets specified requirements, encourages software component reusability, and supports ease of maintenance. - Implement new product features and modifications, including technical documentation, to enhance the existing software. - Troubleshoot system failures caused by software errors, conduct unit tests, and implement changes to meet testing and functional/nonfunctional requirements. - Collaborate with the Customer Response Team to address software issues post-release. - Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, best software engineering practices, and consumer data protection. - Participate in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and work estimation sessions. - Contribute to release management decisions and drive effective problem resolution in a timely manner. - Identify and implement process improvements in engineering practices to enhance software stability and performance. - Provide technical content for documentation, user guides, and customer training materials. - Analyze, design, and implement software mechanisms to enhance code stability, performance, and reusability. - Contribute to code review sessions, debug software defects, and develop high-quality documentation such as functional specifications. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience. - Minimum 3 years of development experience in Java, Spring, and Hibernate. - Proficiency in Japanese language (JLPT N3 and above). - Good understanding of memory management and familiarity with continuous integration. - Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in global, multi-located teams. - Strong web development skills and understanding of software development and quality assurance best practices. - Excellent troubleshooting techniques, problem-solving skills, and ability to comprehend business and technical requirements. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. - Ability to document requirements in the form of Word documents and/or UML diagrams.
