Billing Engineer

Job Title:

• Diploma or B.E. in Civil Engineering
  

Experience:

• 25 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation, or billing in construction projects (buildings, roads, or infrastructure).
  

Job Summary:

The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing and verifying quantities, measurements, and bills related to civil construction works. The role involves coordination between the site, planning, and accounts teams to ensure timely and accurate billing of executed work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare running account (RA) bills for clients and subcontractors based on executed quantities.
  
• Verify site measurements and quantities with actual work done.
  
• Prepare and maintain quantity sheets and reconciliation reports for materials and labor.
  
• Cross-check and validate work completion certificates and measurement books (MBs).
  
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project managers for billing inputs.
  
• Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, and quantity take-offs from drawings.
  
• Assist in project budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis.
  
• Maintain proper documentation for client and subcontractor bills.
  
• Support the audit team during internal/external billing audits.
  
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and billing procedures.
  

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of quantity estimation, measurement, and billing procedures.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing software (e.g., ERP, SAP, or similar).
  
• Understanding of construction drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
  
• Accuracy in calculation and attention to detail.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• Knowledge of material reconciliation and rate analysis.
