Job Summary: The Robotics and Electronics Engineer is responsible for both the instructional and operational aspects of a school makerspace. This role involves designing and delivering STEAM-based learning experiences, managing the makerspace environment, and ensuring the effective use of space and resources. The educator will foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration, while maintaining a safe and well-organized makerspace. Key Responsibilities:Instruction and Facilitation: Lesson Design and Delivery: Create and implement engaging, hands-on lessons that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) concepts. Guide students through the planning, execution, and completion of individual and group projects. Teach students to safely and effectively use a variety of makerspace tools and technologies, including 3D printers, laser cutters, woodworking tools, electronics kits, and relevant software. Student Support: Provide individualized support and mentorship to students, encouraging problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and motivated to explore and create. Curriculum Development: Integration with School Curriculum: Develop and implement a makerspace curriculum that aligns with school standards and learning objectives. Collaborate with other teachers to incorporate makerspace activities into the broader school curriculum across various subjects.
