BI Developers (Qlik)

Role Overview: As a Data and Analytics Tester at Astellas Pharma Inc., you will play a critical role in validating the accuracy, functionality, and performance of BI, Data Warehousing, and ETL systems. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the organization's data strategy, designing and implementing data analytics using modern technologies, providing technical support to internal users, championing continuous improvement initiatives, participating in the continuous delivery pipeline, integrating with existing data pipelines, and staying up-to-date on the latest trends in data engineering and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the organization's data strategy by identifying opportunities for data-driven insights and improvements. - Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data analytics using modern technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions. - Provide technical support to internal users, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring system uptime. - Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, security, and maintainability of existing data and platform architecture. - Participate in the continuous delivery pipeline, adhering to DevOps best practices for version control, automation, and deployment. - Integrate with existing data pipelines and explore new possibilities for data utilization. - Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud platforms. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 5+ years of experience using Qlik, PowerBI, or equivalent technologies. - Familiarity with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts. - Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data. - Experience with QLIK, Power BI, and ETL tools such as Talend and DataBricks. - Knowledge of data governance principles, data lineage, and metadata management. - Ability to work with end users to uncover business requirements and turn them into powerful applications. - Experience ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy. - Proficiency in creating dashboards of pixel-perfect quality. - Strong coding skills in SQL, R, and/or Python. - Experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry is preferred.
