Description
As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing complex reports and dashboards using SAP BusinessObjects (Web Intelligence). Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining semantic layers (Universes) using the Information Design Tool (IDT), collaborating with business users to gather requirements, and translating them into robust BI solutions. You will provide expert-level support for report performance tuning, scheduling, bursting, and access management via the BusinessObjects Central Management Console (CMC). Data validation and ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of self-service reporting environments and governance frameworks. Your expertise will be essential in supporting and creating lightweight reports and dashboards using Power BI for specific business needs. Writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation will also be a part of your daily tasks. Your involvement in BI project planning, testing, documentation, and change management processes will be critical for the success of BI initiatives. To excel in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. With 3-5 years of experience in BI roles focusing on SAP BusinessObjects, proficiency in SQL and relational database querying is mandatory. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your technical skills should include proficiency in Web Intelligence (WebI) for advanced reporting, designing Universes (UNV/UNX) using IDT, and knowledge of report bursting, scheduling, and publication using BO CMC. Experience in integrating BusinessObjects with SAP BW, Oracle, SQL Server, and other data sources is crucial. Familiarity with access rights management, user groups, and BI governance in BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) is also required. Additionally, your ability to perform performance tuning and troubleshooting with large-scale BusinessObjects deployments, create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI Desktop, and have basic to intermediate proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language) will be beneficial for this role.
