Job Description

Position: Senior Platform Administrator

Purpose of the Position: We are looking for an experienced Power BI Administrator (primary skill) with exposure to Domo Administration (secondary skill, learnable on the job). The role is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise BI platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, governance, and compliance. The administrator will oversee user and license management, capacity monitoring, disaster recovery testing, incident response, and operational reporting. Additionally, the role will monitor release updates, maintain operations manuals, and collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver a stable, secure, and well-governed BI environment.

Work Location: India (Infocepts location)

Shift Timing : The candidate must be open to work in ad hoc shift (2 PM to 11 PM IST)

Key Result Areas and Activities:

Operational Excellence: Maintain 99%+ uptime for Power BI and Domo platforms, with timely incident response and resolution.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure proper license management, inactive/terminated user handling, and stale content clean-up.
Performance & Capacity: Proactively monitor and manage gateway clusters, storage, and capacity to avoid service disruptions.
Documentation & Process Improvements: Maintain updated SOPs and Operations Manuals with clear process ownership and continuous improvements.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear reporting of monthly operational data and highlight relevant release changes for business impact.
Security & Risk Mitigation: Ensure timely vulnerability remediation, DR testing, and certificate renewals.

Essential skill

Strong hands-on experience in Power BI Administration (primary skill).
Experience with Power BI Gateways (setup, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, DR testing).
License management, capacity monitoring, and user lifecycle management.
Content governance/management (stale content cleanup, enterprise data mapping).
Incident response and troubleshooting of BI platforms.
PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
Strong documentation skills including SOPs and Operations Manual updates.
Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service mindset.

Desired skill

Exposure to or experience in Domo Administration (secondary skill).
Familiarity with Domo content governance and certificate updates.
Experience developing Power BI reports/dashboards for business support.
Knowledge of cloud-based BI environments (Power BI Service, Domo SaaS).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Splunk).
Awareness of governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with security best practices (access control, vulnerability remediation, DR readiness).
Certifications: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Domo Professional Certification (preferred, not mandatory).
Exposure to automation/orchestration tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in computer science engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience working as Power BI administrator
