The India business is central to the brand’s next chapter of global expansion , with a clear mandate to institutionalize world-class financial governance, accelerate scale, and prepare the enterprise for the rigor of a potential public listing. Role Purpose The CFO will serve as the financial architect and strategic partner to the India leadership team. This role demands a seasoned finance leader who can balance board-level strategy with operational execution, ensuring robust governance while enabling ambitious growth in a fast-evolving fashion and retail landscape. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Leadership · Shape and execute the long-term financial strategy that underpins accelerated growth, market expansion, and global integration. · Develop and deliver India’s financial roadmap , aligned with BHPC’s global growth vision and designed to meet the rigor of IPO-level expectations. · Lead business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment prioritization , ensuring visibility across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons. · Provide actionable financial insights to support market entry, category expansion, retail rollouts, and omni-channel growth. · Serve as a trusted advisor to Partners and Board on capital structure, risk-return trade-offs, and strategic investment opportunities. 2. Financial Control, Compliance & Governance · Institutionalize a robust financial control framework , covering accounting, reporting, and enterprise-wide risk management. · Ensure full compliance with Indian statutory requirements (Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, RBI regulations, etc.) while aligning with global reporting standards (IFRS/Ind-AS) and practices expected of listed multinational corporations. · Drive best-in-class financial governance, reporting transparency, and investor-grade disclosures, laying the foundation for IPO-level readiness. · Manage statutory, internal, and group audits , ensuring zero tolerance for compliance lapses and reinforcing financial credibility. · Partner with auditors, advisors, regulators, and banks to safeguard financial integrity and market confidence. · Embed ESG and governance principles, enhancing long-term enterprise value and aligning with stakeholder expectations. 3. Business Partnering & Performance Management · Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Retail, and Supply Chain leaders to drive P&L ownership, sharpen unit economics, and ensure financial sustainability. · Support category launches, retail store expansion, e-commerce scaling, and licensing models , structuring each for profitability and long-term scalability. · Lead margin expansion initiatives across sourcing, vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, and channel mix optimization. · Champion data-driven decision-making , designing KPIs, analytics, and dashboards that deliver real-time visibility across business verticals. · Act as a proactive partner in shaping commercial strategy, ensuring investments and new models deliver ROI and enterprise value growth . 4. Cash Flow & Capital Allocation Manage working capital cycles, ensuring healthy liquidity and cash flow discipline. Optimize banking relationships, debt structures, and funding mechanisms to fuel expansion. Oversee foreign exchange management and ensure efficient capital deployment across new ventures. Lead capital investment evaluations, including store economics, distribution expansion, and e-commerce infrastructure. 5. Technology, Digital & Analytics Enablement · Drive finance transformation through technology, e nsuring ERP, BI, and automation tools deliver efficiency, accuracy, and foresight. · Build strong analytics capabilities to generate insights for consumer, retail, and supply chain decision-making. · Enable predictive analytics and performance dashboards that serve both operational teams and boardroom decision-makers. · Champion a digital-first, data-driven culture , balancing intuition with evidence-based decision-making to support omni-channel growth and investor confidence. 6. Leadership & Organizational Development Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance team. Instill a culture of accountability, transparency, and agility. Serve as a thought partner to the CEO and global leadership team, providing independent judgment and strategic counsel. Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution. 18+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role (CFO/Head of Finance) within Fashion, Retail, FMCG, Luxury, or Lifestyle industries. Proven ability to scale businesses, manage multi-channel distribution, and handle complex financial structures. Strong understanding of Indian regulatory landscape as well as cross-border compliance in multinational organizations. Demonstrated success in managing investor, board, and external stakeholder relationships. Skills & Competencies Strategic mindset with strong commercial and operational acumen. Hands-on yet capable of board-level influence. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
