Bending Operator

Set up, operate, and adjust CNC or manual bending machines, such as press brakes, to bend metal according to technical drawings and production requirements.  Understand and follow production blueprints to achieve the desired angles, shapes, and dimensions Ensure machine settings are correct for each job, which may include adjusting for different material thicknesses and bend types Inspect finished parts to verify they meet quality standards and are within the specified tolerances, and make any necessary adjustments.  Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections from the workpiece after bending Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.  Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.  Properly identify and mark completed jobs and maintain any required production documentation Perform a variety of duties which may change often  Work skillfully with tools, metals, and machines  Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal SKILLS Ability to lift heavy materials and tools Proficiency with bending machines and related tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of various metals and their bending properties. Precision and attention to detail. Ability to use various hand and power tools.
