Behavior and Mental Health Specialist

As a Virtual School Behavior Specialist at Proximity Learning, you will play a crucial role in supporting K12 students by providing virtual behavioral support to promote student engagement, positive interactions, and academic and personal success across learning environments. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to promote positive behavior and reduce challenging behaviors. - Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust interventions. - Conduct assessments to identify student needs and create appropriate strategies to support student learning and social-emotional development. - Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school-based staff to integrate behavior goals into daily instruction and routines. - Provide consultation and guidance to educational teams and families on effective behavior management strategies. - Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, data collection, and student progress in compliance with educational standards and confidentiality requirements. Required Qualifications: - Masters degree in Behavioral Psychology, Education, Psychology, or a related field. - Active BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) certification. - Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a school setting, not including the internship year. - Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based behavioral interventions. - Ability to design, implement, and modify individualized behavior programs in a virtual environment. - Working knowledge of technology such as virtual tools/personal computers and platforms for data tracking, collaboration, and communication. - Schedule flexibility (School day hours) and interest in working across time zones.
