PRA India Private Limited is hiring for Head -Mine- Survey for Coal Mines (Open Cast ) at Jharkhand Location. Role & responsibilities : - Lead and manage all mine surveying operations across coal mine projects. - Ensure accurate and timely execution of mine surveys for planning, excavation, production, and statutory reporting. - Supervise the preparation of statutory mine plans, sections, and other survey-related documentation in compliance with DGMS and other regulatory requirements. - Provide technical guidance to survey teams and coordinate with mine planning, operations, and geology departments. - Implement the latest survey techniques including GPS, Total Station, Drone/Remote Sensing technologies for improved accuracy and efficiency. - Maintain and update mine lease boundary pillars and other statutory markers as per regulatory guidelines. - Prepare and manage survey budgets, resource planning, and team development. - Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards in all survey operations. - Liaise with external agencies and government authorities for statutory surveys and audits. Preferred candidate profile having : - Degree in Mining Engineering and Mine Surveying from a recognized institution. - Minimum 10+ years of experience in mine surveying, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a large-capacity coal mining project. - Thorough knowledge of Indian mining regulations, DGMS guidelines, and statutory requirements. - Proficiency in modern survey instruments and software such as AutoCAD, Surpac, or other mine planning tools. - Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. - Proven track record in managing large teams and complex surveying operations. - Valid Mines Surveyors Certificate of Competency (if applicable under statutory norms). Preferred Attributes: - Experience in open-cast coal mining operations. - Exposure to drone survey integration and GIS-based mapping systems. - Excellent problem-solving, planning, and analytical abilities.
