Job Objective:
To provide evidence-based Ayurvedic consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients, while promoting holistic healing in line with classical Ayurvedic principles. The BAMS doctor is responsible for patient care, therapy planning, and supporting wellness programs in the hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Consultation:
Conduct OPD and IPD consultations.
Take detailed case histories and assess prakriti, vikriti, and doshic imbalances.
Prescribe personalized Ayurvedic medicines and classical therapies.
2. Treatment Planning:
Design individual treatment plans, including Panchakarma, diet, and lifestyle modifications. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment accordingly.
Work closely with Panchakarma therapists to ensure correct procedure execution.
3. Patient Education & Counseling:
Educate patients on Ayurvedic concepts of health and disease.
Counsel patients on preventive care, seasonal regimens (ritucharya), and daily routines (dinacharya).
Guide patients on stress management, yoga, and natural healing approaches.
4. Documentation & Records:
Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
Ensure timely updating of case files and follow-up documentation.
Assist in preparing reports for internal audits or compliance.
5. Interdepartmental Coordination:
Coordinate with pharmacy, lab, therapists, and front office for smooth patient management. Collaborate with senior consultants for complex or chronic cases.
6. Support for Events & Camps:
Participate in health camps, awareness drives, community outreach, and seasonal treatment campaigns.
Deliver health talks or conduct wellness workshops when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from a recognized university Valid registration with respective state Ayurvedic medical council
Experience: 03 years (Freshers with internship experience are welcome)
Prior work in a clinical or wellness setup preferred
Skills:
Sound knowledge of classical texts and Ayurvedic principles
Good understanding of Panchakarma and other therapeutic procedures
Strong patient interaction and counseling skills Familiarity with basic computer use and EMR systems
