Job Description Sales & Customer Engagement: Visit assigned retail customers (approx. 300 retailers) as per a weekly schedule (Monday to Saturday) to promote and market our range of products, including PVC Pipes & Fittings, Electrical Pipes & Fittings, UPVC Pipe & Fittings, CPVC Pipe & Fittings, Water Tanks, Garden Hose, and related items. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing retailers, identifying their needs and providing tailored product recommendations. Acquire orders from retailers, ensuring accuracy in quantity, product specifications, and delivery timelines. Collect payments from retail customers as per company policy, maintaining proper receipts and payment records. Proactively identify and onboard new retail customers to expand the company’s market reach. Address customer inquiries and provide product information, pricing, and after-sales support. Order Coordination: Liaise with the Dispatch/Order Processing team to ensure customer orders are processed promptly and accurately. Provide daily/weekly updates to management on sales performance, order status, and payment collections. Coordinate with logistics and delivery staff to schedule timely fulfillment of customer orders. Market Intelligence & Reporting: Monitor competitor activities and gather market feedback to assist in business strategy and product positioning. Report customer feedback, complaints, or quality concerns to the relevant teams for prompt resolution. Maintain a comprehensive database of customers, contact information, order history, and outstanding payments. Additional Responsibilities: Collaborate with the inventory and procurement teams to forecast product demand based on market trends and sales data. Participate in periodic sales meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product features and sales techniques. Ensure adherence to all company policies regarding sales, pricing, and collections. Requirements: Prior experience in sales, preferably in the wholesale or building materials sector (PVC/UPVC/CPVC & related products is an advantage). Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with retailers. Familiarity with basic sales reporting, order management, and collection processes. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a field-based role. Ability to plan daily/weekly travel routes efficiently and manage time to meet targets. Willingness to travel daily within the assigned area (Monday to Saturday). Basic proficiency in using smartphones, sales apps, or CRM systems (preferred). Coordinate with the production team to confirm product availability and dispatch timelines. Arrange and oversee the delivery of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation. Communicate with clients regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays. Maintain records of all orders, invoices, and delivery documentation. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of PVC pipes and fittings to ensure adequate supply. Coordinate with the procurement team for raw material requirements and replenishment of finished goods. Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and prevent inventory shortages or overstocking. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize warehouse space. Ensure proper storage and handling of products to maintain quality and prevent damage. Additional Responsibilities: Assist in resolving customer complaints related to orders, deliveries, or product quality. Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and align inventory accordingly. Maintain a database of suppliers, logistics partners, and key clients for efficient coordination. Requirements: Prior experience in order processing, logistics, or inventory management (preferred). Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in using inventory management software or ERP systems (if applicable). Good communication skills for effective coordination with teams and clients.
