Bags and Garment Quality Manager

You will be joining Abhay & Abhi Exports, a growing fashion bags and accessories manufacturing company based in Agra, specializing in high-quality products made from fabrics and natural materials with intricate hand and machine embroidery. As the Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) from scratch to ensure that every product leaving the facility meets the highest standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop & Implement a Quality Management System (QMS): Design and establish a complete QMS, including all necessary documentation, procedures, and quality standards. - Establish In-Process Quality Gates: Create and manage mandatory quality checkpoints at critical stages of production to prevent defects. - Create Technical Specifications: Work with design and production teams to develop detailed "Tech Packs" and approve "Golden Samples" for every product style. - Team Training & Leadership: Train production staff on new quality standards, inspection methods, and lead a small team of quality checkers. - Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues, identify root causes of defects, and implement permanent corrective actions. - Reporting & Analysis: Track and analyze quality metrics, provide regular reports on performance and areas for improvement. - Champion a Quality Culture: Promote a "Right First Time" mindset, emphasizing pride in workmanship and accountability. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Direct Product Expertise: Hands-on experience with fashion bags, intricate embroidery, and garment construction is mandatory. - Experience: 3-5 years in quality control or assurance within the apparel, textile, leather goods, or fashion accessories industry. - System Building: Proven experience in creating and implementing quality procedures, checklists, and systems. - Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabric properties, stitching techniques, and defect identification in embroidered goods. - Leadership Skills: Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team to achieve quality goals. - Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying problems and building sustainable solutions. - Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and basic English. - Education: Diploma or degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Technology, or related field is a plus but not required with strong hands-on experience.
