As a Backup and Storage Administrator, your role will involve managing and maintaining backup and storage systems to ensure high availability. Your key responsibilities will include: - In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage - Proficiency in storage management tools and platforms - Strong understanding of data backup and recovery strategies - Administering and maintaining storage systems, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability - Performing regular capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future storage requirements - Building, managing, supporting, and monitoring all installed hardware systems and infrastructure - Reviewing and influencing new design, architecture, standards, and methods for operating services and systems - Diagnosing bottlenecks and providing recommendations for interim workarounds - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Additionally, you will be responsible for: - Setting up and configuring Commvault and Veeam backup software for all environments - Managing the Master server and the Media server - Configuring backups for all devices and applications - Defining and implementing backup and retention policies to ensure data protection - Monitoring backup jobs and troubleshooting any related issues - Optimizing backup and recovery performance - Maintaining security measures to protect backup data from unauthorized access - Collaborating with different teams to ensure the integration and operation of the environment - Conducting regular backup and recovery tests to verify data integrity and the recovery process Qualification Required: - Proficiency in Backup Administrator tools such as Veeam and Commvault - Experience with Storage Administrator tools like Dell EMC Unity & Powermax, NetApp, Pure Storage, HP, and Hitachi - Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential for success in this role.
