Role & responsibilities Profile of the position: Hands-on experience with Various storage box like EMC VNX 5400, 5600, CX-120 storage Box NetApp, HP, Hitachi and involves performance/availability assessment with daily support tasks. Must have Experience with SAN Switch/ Storage Enclosure administration and storage spaces, Alert management including Backup/recovery/restore of information on storage devices including DASD, EMC Avamar Duties and Responsibilities Perform changes to Logical Disk, LUN Configuration Perform ALLOCATION / DEALLOCATION with Zoning/ Copy Services Configure NAS/ SAN Storage Perform configuration of SAN/disk devices, storage pools. Manage and support of SAN Switch Plan changes / install to Storage, Logical Disk, Raid, LUN Configuration Maintain storage management tools, maintain microcode/firmware, monitor Storage devices Perform Storage Daily Health Check Perform General SAN/NAS Disk administration activity and Avamar Restore Provide Configuration info for Basic DISK, RAID, Logical LUN Copy Perform maintenance on disk environment Perform problem analysis and recovery in the storage hardware and software environment. Provide support to data storage on all MVS system images Set up SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software Support SAN/NAS/Disk monitoring agent software Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: Hands on experience including but not limited to: Knowledge of EMC VNX 5400, 5600, CX-120 storage Box. Knowledge of NetApp, HP, Hitachi Storage hands-on. Experience with SAN Switch/ Storage Enclosure administration Experience on Storage devices and storage spaces, Alert management, Backup/recovery/restore of information on storage devices including DASD, EMC Avamar Storage services SAN software supporting advanced enterprise storage features including SDD (Subsystem Device Driver) Experience of working with customers through direct interaction during support and change management activities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective team player as well as ability to drive autonomously.
