Backend Software Engineer - Lead

Role Overview: Salesforce is offering immediate opportunities for software developers who are looking to make a significant positive impact through their code. The role involves architecture, design, implementation, and testing to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Build new and innovative components in a rapidly evolving market technology landscape to enhance scale and efficiency. - Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can cater to millions of users on our cloud platform. - Make design decisions based on performance, scalability, and future growth considerations. - Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC) including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing. - Develop efficient components and algorithms within a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment. - Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and offer technical guidance to the team. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in multiple programming languages and platforms. - Minimum of 9 years of software development experience. - Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and familiarity with scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala, C#, and Go. - Strong skills in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases like Postgres, Trino, Redshift, and Mongo. - Experience in developing SAAS products on public cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, and GCP. - Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing distributed systems at scale. - Knowledge of queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, as well as relational and non-relational databases. - Understanding of software development best practices and leadership skills. - Degree or equivalent relevant experience required; evaluation of experience based on core competencies for the role.
