Backend Platform Engineer

As a Backend Platform Engineer at our Gurgaon, India office (Hybrid), you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the backend systems that power our Social Matchmaking app. Your responsibilities will include working on various aspects such as Authentication & Identity, Matchmaking Serving Infra, User Onboarding Platform, and Notification & Messaging Orchestration. In this role, you will be tasked with building secure and scalable sign-up/login processes, designing high-concurrency APIs for fetching and ranking potential matches, creating flexible onboarding pipelines, and developing systems to support various forms of communication to enhance user engagement. To be considered for this position as an SDE2/Sr Engineer, you should possess at least 3-10 years of experience in backend development, particularly in high-scale consumer products like social, gaming, streaming, or transactions. Strong skills in system design, API design, caching, database modeling, and concurrency are essential. Additionally, experience with AI-driven features, modern backend systems, cloud-native environments, and proficiency in Java, Go, or Python is desired. We are looking for individuals with product empathy, startup DNA, a focus on speed with quality, curiosity to learn new tools, and comfort with early-stage ambiguity.
