Backend Development Lead

Role Overview: As an Applications Development Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage one or more Applications Development teams to achieve established goals and handle personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions - Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight for systems and applications - Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects and contribute to formulating strategies for applications development - Develop a comprehensive understanding of how different business areas integrate to achieve business goals - Impact the Applications Development area by monitoring the delivery of end results, participating in budget management, and managing day-to-day staff issues - Ensure essential procedures are followed, contribute to defining standards, and negotiate with external parties when necessary - Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, safeguard Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and supervise the activity of others while maintaining high standards Qualifications: - 12-16 years of relevant experience in Java, Springboot with experience in Microservices, CICD - Experience in a senior-level Applications Development role with stakeholder and people management experience - Demonstrated leadership, project management, and basic industry practices knowledge - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience required, Masters degree preferred Note: This job description provides an overview of the main responsibilities and qualifications required.
