Backend Developer

As a Backend Engineer at our company, you will be part of a team of engineers developing elegant and high-performing code. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring quality practices such as unit testing, code reviews, and leading tests - Optimizing the application for non-functional requirements - Building and deploying components as part of the CI/CD process - Taking responsibility for end-to-end application delivery and coordinating with required teams for production deployment - Continuously monitoring application health and KPIs, supporting triage of any production issues as needed - Collaborating in troubleshooting complex data, features, service, and platform issues, and performing root cause analysis - Advocating security best practices and supporting the importance of security within engineering In terms of technical skills, we are looking for candidates with: - 5 to 9 years of professional experience - Experience developing microservices and cloud-native apps using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework, JPA, Spring Security, and similar tech stacks - Experience working with Unit testing using frameworks such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave - Building and deploying services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc. as part of the CI/CD process - Experience working in Google Cloud Platform - Experience with any Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) In addition to technical skills, we value the following soft skills: - Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities with limited oversight - Excellent communication skills for design-related conversations and fostering collaboration - Acting as a supportive team member with a do-what-it-takes attitude to ensure project and team success This is a full-time, permanent position with health insurance benefits. The work location is in-person, and the schedule is Monday to Friday. Your experience in backend development and technologies such as Spring Boot, J2EE, Microservices, and Cloud will be preferred for this role.,
