Backend Developer - Java

You will be joining a fast-growing product company in Kollam, Kerala, India, that specializes in developing next-generation cybersecurity solutions to protect organizations from advanced threats. As a Backend Developer with 2+ years of experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems that support the company's security products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance services. Your primary technologies will include Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and REST APIs. You will also work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis, along with tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and ELK. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP will be preferred, as well as familiarity with testing tools like JUnit, Mockito, and Postman. Key responsibilities will include writing clean and optimized code, building and maintaining RESTful APIs, implementing secure communication, collaborating with DevOps for deployment, and working closely with product managers and frontend developers. You will also be expected to follow secure coding practices, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to technical design discussions and scalability planning. To qualify for this role, you should have 2+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot, a strong background in REST API development and microservice architecture, and solid knowledge of OOP, multithreading, and performance optimization. Skills in configuration management, unit testing frameworks, version control, and CI/CD pipelines will be essential, along with problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. Bonus points will be awarded for experience in security or monitoring products, familiarity with Spring Security, Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins, logging tools, and cloud services. An awareness of OWASP Top 10 and backend vulnerabilities will be beneficial.
