Backend Developer / Data Engineer

In this role as a Backend Developer / Data Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to lead and guide a team of Data Engineers in translating business requirements into analytical products to generate new insights. You will play a key role in driving the transformation journey of the company towards becoming data-driven in the future. **Key Responsibilities:** - Drive technical implementation and ensure accountability for strategy and execution - Define the scope of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for upcoming initiatives and create a roadmap for future enhancements - Collaborate with data owners to plan and execute key initiatives - Monitor the performance and quality of integration pipelines developed in collaboration with the data integration team - Lead architecture design discussions with guidance from the teams - Promote data literacy by enabling visualization through self-service capabilities for end users **Qualifications Required:** - Extensive experience in leading data architectures and data-related initiatives, as well as managing a data operations team - Profound understanding and knowledge of data acquisition, data modeling, and analytics - Strong experience in data & analytics, data architecture, and database/data warehouse modeling - Hands-on experience in developing streaming and batch data pipelines for cloud and hybrid infrastructures, including familiarity with streaming frameworks such as AWS IoT stack - Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to manipulate data as required - Knowledge of cloud providers in data architecture (e.g., AWS) and data warehouses supporting analytical workloads - Extensive experience in working with ETL processes **About the Company:** Within the enterprise team for Advanced Analytics & AI, Siemens Energy develops new methodologies and tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making, enhancing sustainability, reliability, and affordability of energy solutions globally.
