Back End Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at our fast-growing, culture-focused, venture-backed startup, you will be an integral part of our engineering team dedicated to developing highly available, reliable, and maintainable APIs and containerized BI DevOps tasks for our customers. Your role will involve deploying solutions that address common issues in BI environments, ensuring seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining APIs and systems for performing CI/CD tasks related to BI metadata at scale. You will also collaborate with the product and internal stakeholders to define project requirements, lead projects aimed at improving the BI environment, and write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code. Additionally, you will utilize modern DevOps tools for continuous integration, configuration management, container orchestration, monitoring, and logging, becoming an expert on metadata tracking across multiple BI platforms. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant work experience. Strong proficiency in Python, Git for version control, and AWS experience are preferred for cloud infrastructure. You should also possess the ability to create and iterate upon products based on customer learnings and metrics, excellent communication skills, extreme organization with attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude. While not mandatory, previous experience at a B2B SaaS venture-backed start-up and working with large BI environments are considered advantageous.
