Job Description

Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure SQL & MSSQL, PostgreSQL databases
Manage and maintain databases hosted in cloud & On prem environments.
Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.
Implement and maintain database security (user accounts, roles, and privileges).
Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Install, migrate, and upgrade database to Cloud and on prem.
Coordinate with application development teams for database-related changes.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across all databases.
Implement and maintain data encryption, masking, and other security measures.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks.
Implement automated alerts and notifications for database issues.
Design and implement high-availability solutions such as Replication, Always On Availability Groups and creating Hot Streaming & Logical Replication (Master and Slave) & Oracle cluster installation.
Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
Fantastic troubleshooting skills in High availability & Performance management - Handling critical priority issues independently.
Hands-on experience in executing critical migration / upgrade projects.
Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team and closely with SMEs during P2/P1 incidents.
Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholder s good knowledge on ITIL process.
Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts.
