Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Manage personal performance, day-to-day operations, discipline, and task ownership.
• Provide Tier 3-level support for complex Azure-related issues across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid environments.
• Support Tier 1 & Tier 2 teams in troubleshooting, issue resolution, and mentoring on Azure services.
• Own and lead escalations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and share detailed reports with clients and management.
• Manage and monitor Azure-based infrastructure including virtual machines, networking, backup, and storage.
• Lead or support improvement projects, process enhancements, and cloud optimizations as assigned.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for client onboarding, cloud migration, and implementation projects.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including Knowledge Base (KB) articles, runbooks, and RCA reports.
• Train new and existing team members on Azure best practices, tools, and support processes.
• Conduct audits of support tickets, share feedback, and coach teams on performance improvements.
• Define and implement key routines, governance strategy, and compliance standards for Azure operations.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and DevOps teams to resolve critical issues and optimize cloud environments.
• Analyze Azure Monitor and Advisor insights for proactive risk mitigation and performance tuning.
• Maintain ticket dashboards and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports with insights and improvement areas.
