AWS Devops Engineer

As an AWS DevOps Engineer at our high-growth technology consultancy specializing in AWS cloud, automation, and DevSecOps solutions, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Designing, implementing, and automating CI/CD pipelines in AWS using CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. - Creating and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation to provision scalable, compliant environments. - Monitoring and optimizing performance through CloudWatch metrics, alarms, and automated remediation scripts. - Enforcing security best practices such as IAM least-privilege, secrets management, and vulnerability patching across workloads. - Containerizing microservices with Docker and orchestrating on EKS, promoting immutable infrastructure. - Producing runbooks, documentation, and knowledge transfers to elevate DevOps maturity across cross-functional teams. In order to excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications: Must-Have: - 3+ years hands-on AWS administration and automation experience. - Expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). - Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash to automate build and release workflows. - Strong CI/CD practice with Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI, or AWS CodeSuite. - Experience managing Docker containers and Kubernetes/EKS clusters. - Solid foundation in Linux, networking, and cloud security principles. Preferred: - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect. - Exposure to observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK. - Familiarity with serverless design patterns (Lambda, API Gateway) and cost-optimization techniques.
