Job Description

The AWS DevOps Manager will lead and manage cloud operations while actively administering AWS resources. This role combines technical expertise in AWS infrastructure with leadership skills to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, cost optimization, security compliance, and team performance. The manager will oversee automation, monitoring, and governance while driving operational excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

AWS Administration:
Provision and manage AWS resources, accounts, and governance policies.
Operations:
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and maintain backup/DR strategies.
Security & Compliance:
Enforce IAM policies, enable AWS security services, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Cost Optimization:
Track AWS spend, implement savings strategies, and report forecasts.
Automation & DevOps:
Build IaC, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and automate operational tasks.
Team Leadership:
Mentor DevOps team, set KPIs, and manage performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Align operations with security, finance, and product objectives.

Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services.
Expertise in AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and multi-account governance.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
Monitoring and observability (CloudWatch).
Security best practices (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, WAF).
Cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, CUR).
Scripting (Python, Bash).
