AWS Cloud Engineer

We are urgently seeking a specialist hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer to support our AWS Cloud team.

The engineer will be expected to work directly with developers, document solution requirements, recommend appropriate AWS components, and collaborate with the AWS Cloud Operations team to design and implement secure, scalable environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with developers and operations to capture requirements and translate them into AWS architecture and implementation.
• Design, build, and maintain AWS environments leveraging best practices.
• Configure and manage AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, VPC, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, etc.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Set up and manage ECS/EKS clusters, Docker images, AMIs, and implement performance-based scaling.
• Configure and administer RDS databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Redshift).
• Design and troubleshoot secure network configurations (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, Gateways, Route 53, WAF).
• Support CI/CD workflows (Bitbucket/GitHub, Jenkins) and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Monitor systems with New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus and perform optimizations.
• Conduct cost analysis and manage resource optimization via Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and tagging strategies.
• Apply AMI upgrades, patching, and manage maintenance windows.
• Create SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge base content.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on AWS engineering experience (deep AWS expertise is required; not just multi-cloud exposure).
• Proven track record designing, implementing, and managing AWS services in production.
• Strong skills with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in AWS networking and IAM/security best practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and container orchestration (ECS/EKS, Docker).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work directly with U.S.-based stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently while being a proactive team contributor.
• Availability to work MondayFriday, 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM IST.
