Job Description

Role Overview: As the AVP, Analytic Controls at Synchrony in the Remediation COE, you will collaborate with a diverse team to conduct testing in key controls throughout the remediation life cycle. Your role will involve working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of remediation actions. To excel in this position, you must possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of business processes, and previous exposure to control and audit practices. Key Responsibilities: - Support key control efforts to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of remediation actions by assisting with path and scope accuracy, clarifying business requirements, reviewing documentation, conducting transactional testing, monitoring progress, and communicating updates to stakeholders. - Conduct controlled testing of remediation analytic and execution efforts, identifying risks, investigating solutions, and escalating issues for efficient resolution. - Deliver precise and timely data sampling, reporting, and analytics using enterprise-wide data sources to evaluate impact population identification effectively. - Drive process efficiencies by developing automated solutions and enhancements to existing data analytics systems and tools, improving the quality of remediations performed. - Develop Advanced SAS and/or SQL code, visual basic macros, business object, or other query tools, and provide thought leadership in various initiatives/projects. - Maintain a clear understanding of data warehouses, Business Portfolios, L2 and L3 Processes, Compliance, and regulatory changes, ensuring adherence to internal and external testing requirements. - Guide the project team and key stakeholders to enhance control reviews" efficiency and maintain a strong control environment through targeted reporting to mitigate risks effectively. - Support internal and external audit activities as required and undertake any other assigned duties or special projects. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative field with 4+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience. - Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, Spark, or Hadoop with a minimum of 4 years of direct experience. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex subjects to senior management and stakeholders. - Ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and independently manage workload. - Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint. - Availability to work from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST Monday through Friday.
