AVP - Product Design (UI UX)

As AVP - Product Design, you will play a crucial role in elevating design excellence and delivering seamless digital experiences at scale. Beyond being a designer, you are expected to be a strategic leader, storyteller, and player advocate. Your primary responsibility will be to lead with purpose, influence at the highest level, and set new benchmarks in design innovation. Your key responsibilities will include owning and evolving the design vision and strategy across various product initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs. You will lead design teams encompassing UI, UX, and Research functions, overseeing the delivery of impactful product design engagements. Providing direction and mentorship to design leads to maintain consistency, quality, and innovation across projects will also be a significant part of your role. You will advocate for user-centered design and strategic research, translating insights into actionable design strategies. Guiding the design process from discovery to execution, being hands-on, and closely steering teams through each phase will be essential. Building strong cross-functional relationships with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to influence the roadmap and priorities is a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, you will contribute to organizational growth through hiring, training, and creating frameworks that promote design excellence. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 13+ years of experience in design, with at least 3 years in a design leadership role. You must have a proven track record of managing product design engagements of high complexity and strategic significance. A deep understanding of UX research, UI design, product strategy, and service design is essential. Your product design acumen should be robust, enabling you to challenge, refine, and guide teams through complex problem-solving. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are crucial for influencing and inspiring stakeholders at all levels. A passion for building inclusive, user-centric products and empowering design teams to think innovatively is highly valued. An added advantage would be experience in fast-paced, product-led environments such as gaming or consumer tech. The ideal educational background for this role includes a Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any stream.,
