Job Description

As an Assistant Vice President within the Information Lifecycle Management team at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the ILM Operations Team by engaging with regional stakeholders to understand their operational requirements. Your responsibilities will include providing Data Storage control support to business stakeholders, responding to queries through Jira service catalog or mailboxes, and developing Standard Operational Procedures for all operational activities. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the ILM Risk Senior Manager to offer subject matter expertise on Management Information related to Data Retention policies, procedures, and regulations to Global Businesses & Functions. You will also be responsible for managing the ILM Operations Analyst team in India, focusing on performance management and team development. Your role will involve representing the Data Storage control team in Country and Regional governance forums, contributing to ongoing process oversight, and identifying opportunities for simplification. Flexibility and adaptability are key attributes required for this position, as you will be dealing with constantly changing priorities, diverse issues, and a high volume of confidential information. The successful candidate must possess hands-on experience in developing data-driven reports, executing workflows, documenting meeting minutes, and providing progress reports. Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence is essential. Additionally, the ability to operate, influence, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, both internally and externally, is crucial for this role. In this dynamic environment, you will need to think and act independently, deliver high-quality outputs suitable for senior management and external parties, and demonstrate the capacity to handle pressure and tight deadlines effectively. Experience in records and holds management will be advantageous in fulfilling the requirements of this position.
