AVP/ Chief Manager - Data Science

You are an experienced and motivated Data Science professional who will lead a team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP). Your responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, driving initiatives in predictive and descriptive analytics, and providing insights to solve key business challenges. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience with large datasets and advanced AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS/Azure. You will apply Predictive Analytics to model and forecast future business outcomes, utilize Descriptive Analytics to analyze past performance and identify trends, and employ Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) techniques to understand complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and insights. Your role involves developing and maintaining Tableau Dashboards to communicate key metrics and business insights to stakeholders at various levels, working on AWS or Azure platforms to solve AI-related use cases, and implementing robust and scalable solutions. As a leader, you will mentor a team of data scientists, provide guidance on projects and career development, coordinate team efforts to ensure effective delivery of analytics solutions, and collaborate with other departments to drive data-driven decision-making. You are expected to work with multiple business units to identify analytics use cases, develop data-driven strategies, and foster a collaborative and inclusive working environment as a team player. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Technical skills required are hands-on experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling, proven track record in developing Predictive Analytics models using Python, proficiency in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) techniques, familiarity with Tableau for dashboarding and data visualization, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, especially in solving AI-related problems. Preferred skills include experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.
