As an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), your primary role will involve providing exceptional childcare services to the children under your care. This will include tasks such as feeding, bathing, dressing, playing with the children, supervising their activities, and assisting with homework. It is essential to exhibit patience, kindness, and a genuine love for children in this role. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children should be your utmost priority. It is necessary to have a good understanding of child safety standards and procedures and diligently adhere to them at all times. Supporting the developmental needs of the children is another crucial aspect of your responsibility. This will involve engaging them in age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, and nurturing their creativity and imagination. Effective communication with the family is essential. You should keep the parents informed about the children's activities, behaviors, and any concerns that may arise. Providing regular reports on the children's development and progress will also be part of your role. Flexibility is key in this position. You must be adaptable to the changing needs and schedules of the family, including working weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
