Job Description

You are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer with over 6 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. As the ideal candidate, you should possess expertise in test automation frameworks, defect tracking tools, and Agile methodologies. In this role, you will be expected to work efficiently in a Sprint Team environment or independently when necessary. Your responsibilities will include implementing and participating in test automation initiatives following industry best practices, utilizing BDD, TDD, and Gherkin spec methodologies in testing, performing API and UI test automation to ensure robust defect management, developing and executing SQL scripts for data validation, working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to automate build processes, and collaborating with development teams to ensure SDLC best practices are adhered to. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting performance testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing as required. Your expertise should include experience with JIRA, JavaScript, Groovy for defect tracking, and hands-on experience with automation tools such as Junit, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG, FlexUnit, LoadRunner, and SoapUI. You should also possess strong knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and XML formats, proficiency in writing SQL queries for Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL, and experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Putty, and WinSCP. Having a strong understanding of Agile (Scrum/XP) and SDLC processes, knowledge of test planning, automation strategies, and defect tracking, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience with BDD/TDD methodologies and familiarity with Agile development frameworks.
