Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/TestNG

You will be located in WFO Chennai, required to work all 5 days a week for a couple of months, and later the schedule will be 4 days a week based on resource commitment, deliverables, and project needs. With over 3 years of experience, you should have a strong background in Java Selenium or JavaScript and Cypress. Your expertise should include a good understanding and exposure to the TestNG framework. Your responsibilities will involve being a Solution Specialist in Automation Strategy and developing automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using JavaScript or TypeScript, Cypress, RestAssured, and other relevant tools. You will continuously enhance and optimize existing test frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and reusability across teams and projects. Collaboration with QA, development, and product teams will be essential for developing and maintaining automated test cases ensuring the functionality, reliability, and performance of applications. You will also be creating and maintaining robust API testing frameworks with tools like RestAssured for automated validation of backend services. As part of the role, you will integrate automation frameworks into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps engineers, and QA, you will align automation efforts with project timelines. Your duties will also include providing detailed reports on test coverage, automation status, and defect tracking to key stakeholders. Additionally, having experience with cloud-based testing platforms like Azure or AWS, knowledge of BDD frameworks such as SpecFlow, and the ability to integrate performance testing into automation pipelines will be beneficial. Familiarity with database automation and testing would be an added advantage for this role.,
