Job Summary:

Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using

  Playwright

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to understand test requirements and identify automation opportunities
• Build and execute automated test suites for regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Develop reusable components and maintain a robust test automation framework
• Write, review, and maintain test cases in alignment with functional and non-functional requirements
• Troubleshoot failures and work closely with the development team to isolate and reproduce defects
• Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and techniques
  

Requirements:

• 4 to 7 years

  of overall experience in Software Testing with at least:

• 2 years

  hands-on experience in

  Playwright

  OR
• Experience in

  Selenium

  with strong understanding of

  TypeScript

• Proficiency in scripting automated tests and debugging in a modern programming language (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript)
  
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices
  
• Experience in creating test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured
  
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber
  
• Experience with performance or security testing tools
  
• ISTQB or similar testing certifications
