Job Description

As an Automation QA at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence to ensure unparalleled customer experiences. You will use cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards. - Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools to detect defects and quality issues early. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria. - Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to support defect resolution. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and share knowledge with peers. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong core Java and OO design concepts with expertise in Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG. - Understanding of RESTful API concepts and JSON/XML data formats. - Hands-on experience in Python automation and SQL Server, with the ability to write complex SQL queries. - Experience in functional and database testing, as well as working in an Agile environment. - Exposure to BDD using Cucumber or JBehave is an added advantage. The role will be based out of Pune. In this role, you will design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes, and ensure software quality and reliability. If the position has leadership responsibilities, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. You will lead a team in performing complex tasks and deliver work that impacts the whole business function.
