Role Overview

Designing Alley is looking for apassionate and experienced Automation / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineerwith5+ years of industrial experiencein automation, robotics, and control systems. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing and production environments. You will work onrobotics integration, PLC programming, and system optimization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implementautomation systemsto enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Program and configurePLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and industrial robots.
• Integratesensors, actuators, control systems, and vision systemsfor seamless automation.
• Conducttroubleshooting, debugging, and optimizationof automation systems.
• Collaborate withmechanical, electrical, and software teamsfor end-to-end project execution.
• Performsystem testing, validation, and documentationfor all projects.
• Supportinstallation, commissioning, and maintenanceof automation equipment.
• Ensure adherence toindustry safety standards and compliance regulations.
• Stay updated onemerging technologiesin automation and robotics.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. inMechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experiencein industrial automation or mechatronics projects.
• Strong understanding ofmechatronic systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical control systems.
• Expertise inindustrial sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
• Proficiency inPLC programming and SCADA(Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, or similar).
• Ability to interpretelectrical/mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge ofsafety standards(ISO, CE, IEC, OSHA) for automation.
• Hands-on approach with aproblem-solving mindsetand passion for innovation.
• Ability to thrive in afast-paced, startup environmentand collaborate effectively.

Good to Have (Bonus Skills)

• Programming knowledge inPython, C/C++, MATLABfor control interfaces.
• Familiarity withIoT, Industry 4.0, and ROS (Robot Operating System).
• Exposure tomachine vision systems(Cognex, Keyence, OpenCV).
• Experience inCAD tools, additive manufacturing, and cobots/mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs).
