Automation Engineer

About the Role:

Automation Engineers (SDET)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for microservices and backend systems.
  
• Collaborate with developers to ensure high-quality, testable, and maintainable code.
  
• Perform unit, integration, contract, and system-level testing for Spring Boot applications.
  
• Create and manage mock services using

  WireMock

  or equivalent tools.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
  
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) to integrate and automate testing workflows.
  
• Monitor, debug, and analyze issues using tools such as

  Elasticsearch

  ,

  Splunk

  , etc.

Technical Skills Required:

• Programming Languages:

  Strong in

  Java

  ; hands-on experience with

  Spring Boot

  .

• Microservices Testing:

  Solid understanding of distributed architectures and APIs (REST/SOAP).

• Tools & Frameworks:

  JUnit, TestNG, Rest Assured, WireMock.

• Event-Driven Architecture:

  Basic exposure to

  Kafka

  or other messaging systems.

• Containerization:

  Familiar with

  Docker

  and

  Kubernetes

  for deployment/testing environments.

• Cloud Platforms:

  Working knowledge of

  AWS

  or

  Azure

  preferred.

• Version Control:

  Experience with Git-based repositories.

• CI/CD:

  Jenkins, GitLab CI (basic setup and maintenance)

Preferred (Good to Have):

• Exposure to financial or banking projects.
  
• Experience in monitoring and observability tools (Elasticsearch, Splunk).
  
• Basic understanding of test containerization and virtualized environments.
